Well the past couple of days on the North and West Shore's of the Hawaiian Islands went off!! The waves were BIG really BIG, the Biggest in years. This has been only the 8th time that the contest got the green light and on tuesday the BAY did not disappoint as thousands of visitors and locals left with their jaws wide open. Big clean waves rolled in and Cali locale Greg Long emerged as the winner.

The Best and Most Powerful surfer of his time Dane Kealoha. From Rockies,Backdoor,Town and everywhere he surfed... Dane slayed the wave like no other!! Here's a special set i have cherished a TOWN AND COUNTRY SURF DESIGNS ,DANE KEALOHA model shaped by none other than the man Glenn Minami. This is a 5'11" twin fin swallowtail model that is very hard to find,accompanying this board is another super rare find. The matching orange short sleeve T&C Dane Kealoha model T-shirt. I'm wondering when we are going to see a Dane Kealoha board being auctioned off at the Hawaiian Island Vintage surfboard auctions.

This is one of the sickest surfboard laminates. Christian Fletcher's boards with artwork by Gonzalez. 6'4" thruster still rippable today. NEON . I remember him busting airs all over the place, super aggressive super progressive surfer that surfed for T&C so you gottah love him!!

so i was working all day and night out in Kailua and finally made it home and was planning on taking a shower and chillin. I turn on the computer and go straight to craigslist.. and BAMMM there it was a crappy cell phone photo of an old Shaun tomson surfboard, i call the # and tell i can meet him in 15 minutes. A quick drink of water and im out the door,pull up to the parking lot and this is what is for sale. HOLY SHIT havent seen many of these around a Bill Barnfield Shaun Tomson model shaped for Shaun Tomson surfboards, SO SICK alittle tattered on the bottom but still cherry to me..haha

been building something else lately

so i've been a little busy building a Bar and Grill out in Kailua. We are now 2 weeks into the buils and it seems to be going solid. The bar is just about finished as well as the kitchen, just need to pick up the bar stools and tables and chairs...order the food and dry goods, we could open... cant wait to fire up the new grill and cook up some steaks!!!

Paradise

Just another beautiful day on Oahu. Went out to Hawaii Kai and took the boat out to Turtles and had a little surf session,pretty fun 1 to 3 ft. My girl and Marshman pulled out the fishing poles and hooked a bunch of fishes. Great day that ended with this sunset.

2 Time Pipe Champ..Rory "da DOG" Russell

Rory Russell the 2 time PIPE MASTERS champion just shaped me a classic 7'10" Lightning Bolt special PIPELINER edition. Check out the photos its a thing of beauty! Great energy from a Great Surfer who shaped this one from the HEART... Thanks Rory i will treasure this gem.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

just got back from Vegas, as always it was a hell of a time!! We ate at the Best. First night in town we headed to Nobu @ the HArd Rock and had our menu down by Chef Justin..INCREDIABLE . the Lobster shichimi with truffles was like CRACK..Then we headed over to YELLOWTAIL @ Bellaggio another memorable nite indeed. My good buddy Chef Akira showed us how its done. Ahi pizza,lobster,tai,KOBE 3 different ways,WALU and the list goes on.the last night we had to have good ole "in and out burgers" and a show at the MGM "KA" which was amazing as well. We ended up having some late nite food in Henderson with Akira and Tina . Fried macaroni and cheese with jalapenos and nachos meatloaf sliders come on are you kidding me..unreal..oh yeah we partied and got kicked out of Moon during our ROOM101 and CAMACHO cigars party by Matt Booth which went off the hook!!

Mom invited us over for some yakiniku pearl city style. Fresh lettuce, grilled garlic,korean nori,steamed rice,secret sauce and korean bbq meat all wrapped in one little roll.....yummy! then you have to chase it down with some soju

Ron House Lightning Bolt

pretty cool super clean Bolt! shaped by Ron House at the "Waimea Surf Shop" when some of the Bolt shapers took off and started shaping out of a little room at room,according to RR. Ron is still shaping boards, doing Lairds standups and other boards.
